Being a long time Mac user, I find it difficult to function without a dock. Luckily, a user built a nice little gadget called App Launcher. Just like the name implies, it’s an application launcher for sidebar. You can easily drag and drop icons onto the window and it will expand as you add more icons. Using a gadget like this can decrease the need for shortcuts on your desktop, and reduce clutter.
